Limited Editions
All our photographs are available as Fine Art Limited Edition Prints in 10, 25 or 50 editions per photograph, all sizes included (a reduced number of photographs are also available in 250 editions). Additionally, a number of Artist Proofs are available for each photograph in a very limited number (10% of the whole edition). Refer to each of the different photographs to know the exact number of editions available.

All our Fine Art Limited Edition Prints are life-long investments that are printed and framed to archival quality. Once your order is received, your Fine Print is carefully printed, inspected thoroughly, hand signed, numbered in the lower right corner of the fine print by Alejandro Quezada and certified by means of a Certificate of Authenticity stamped with an impossible to reproduce ARTtrust bubble label used to guarantee the originality of each art work. Another ARTtrust label is also given to you separately, to be fixed at the back of your Fine Print once framed. A third label, linked to the other two, is safely kept in the archives of Alejandro Quezada.

As the edition sells for a certain Photograph its price appreciates accordingly. This ensures our Fine Art Prints become a valuable investment over time and our clients obtain a revalorization of their original from the very beginning. Once the last print in an edition has sold there will never be another one produced, besides use in books or portfolios from Alejandro Quezada. When we are approached by prospective buyers, we contact interested print owners and act as a broker if they wish to re-sell their limited edition print.

At any moment a client can close a selected edition for a fee, making sure no more Fine Prints will ever be sold of that photograph, independently of how many Prints are still remaining on the original edition. Please contact us for any further information about the process of Edition Closure.

For each of our Editions, an extremely reduced number of Artist Proofs (10% of the total edition) are available for serious collectors and those who wish to own the rarest and most exclusive Fine Prints from Alejandro Quezada. Please contact us if you would like to purchase an Artist Proof of any of our photographs, and we will be happy to provide you with a personal offer.

Printing
All our images are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper, which is one of the highest quality archival photographic print materials available in the world, recommended by many galleries and museums. The printing is made by means of the modern Lightjet procedure, which combines digital light exposure of real photographic paper and traditional chemical processing. This is one of the best printing technologies available today for Fine Art Photography in terms of quality, resolution, tonal gradation, colour rendition and longevity.

All our Fine Art Limited Edition Prints are life-long investments which are printed to archival quality. If the prints are properly stored and framed with archival materials, they will last for more than a century without any signs of fading, allowing you to decorate your walls while the value of your exclusive Fine Print increases.

Please note that the highly compressed images you see on this website cannot compare to the high quality Fine Prints we will provide you. Since we specialize in Large Format photography, you won’t fully get a sense of the detail and the scope in size of Alejandro Quezada’s work from a small jpeg on your monitor. In fact, the joy of witnessing a large Fine Print is something you cannot fully understand until you experience it. That is why we can guarantee you will be extremely and positively surprised when you see your Fine Print with your own eyes.

Framing
Our Fine Prints can be purchased as print only, or framed.
The truth is that unless you really want to work with a framer yourself, we strongly recommend using our expert framing service which has years of experience with archival framing techniques. Our goal is that your print still looks impeccable after decades of viewing; you may make a false economy using others who are not as dedicated. Even though shipping charges increase when ordering framed Fine Prints, you will save a lot of hassle and risks, whilst ensuring your Fine Print can be displayed on your wall right after reception.

Relative to framing, we recommend the Face Acrylic mounting system for our Fine Prints. This system is one of the world’s most established and quality proven face-mounting processes, being the current preferred system in galleries and museums. Photographs are mounted without borders against an acrylic layer of 3 or 4 mm, eliminating the need for a traditional picture frame. Acrylic produces higher image definition, brilliant colour and a fine detailed texture, also protecting the image from UV rays and therefore protecting your investment for generations to come.

The Fine Print is then backed with another layer of acrylic, reinforcing the rigidity of the finished picture and providing a beautiful profile when viewed from the side. The backing acrylic also enables the attachment of custom made aluminium sub-frames that allow the artwork to hang on the wall, from where it will appear to “float” with no obvious means of support. The process is finished by hand polishing the borders of the two acrylic layers.

This framing system will allow the Fine Print to display on your wall, providing a very stylish, elegant and minimalistic look which will perfectly suit contemporaneous as well as more classical interiors.

Sizes
We specialize in large format Fine Art Prints. The amount of detail, the tonal and colour gradations and the whole experience of immersion for the viewer that our large sized Fine Prints provide are the reason for this. The implications of producing large sized prints are however extremely demanding, and that is why the photographic tools and techniques we employ need to provide the highest levels of quality available today. Large format film cameras, dedicated virtual-drum scanners, digital cameras of the highest resolutions, superior quality German lenses, sturdiest tripods available, large format printers… These are some of the items required to obtain our extremely detailed, exceptional quality and large sized Fine Prints.

The sizes available for each of our Fine Art prints vary depending on the format of the photograph: Panoramic in 21:9 or 4:1 format, square, rectangular in 3:2 format, rectangular in 4:3 format, etc. Please refer to each specific photograph in our gallery to discover the sizes available.

For our Unframed Fine Prints, the sizes correspond to the photograph area. All our unframed Fine Prints are printed with a thin white border around the photograph. This will allow your framer to properly adapt the framing and handle the Fine Print with less risk of damage.

For our Printed Fine Prints using Face Acrylic mounting, sizes correspond to the photograph area. Due to the characteristics of this framing system, photographs are mounted without borders and therefore the size of the whole framed Fine Art Print corresponds to the size of the photograph itself. You can find more information about our framing system on the section “Framing” here above.

Finish
All our Fine Art Prints are available in two different finishes: Gloss and Semi-Matte. Even though most of our photographs look extremely attractive in both finish options, many of our clients have a clear preference for one of them when it comes to purchasing their Fine Prints.

If you do not have a clear preference, bear in mind that each of this finish options provides a different nuance to the photograph as well as some implications in terms of lighting, as we explain below.
Gloss finish: The use of Fuji Chrystal Archival Gloss or the Extra Gloss Fujiflex photographic paper will provide an extra “wow” effect and a bolder and more striking look to your Fine Print, as colours seem more saturated and with higher contrast. We recommend this finish for photographs which are dynamic, vibrant, dramatic, and which display intense colours. Please consider that as the gloss surface of your Fine Print will be highly reflective, you will need to install halogen lights to directly illuminate your Fine Print from above in order to drown the reflections on its surface due to parasitic sources of light nearby (windows, artificial ceiling lights, etc). All our Gloss Fine Prints are framed using a gloss acrylic layer of the highest quality.

Semi-Matte finish: The use of Fuji Chrystal Archival Semi-matte is more sober, subtle and focuses attention on the shapes, lines and textures of the image, increasing the power of the tonal contrasts and slightly reducing the dominance of colour saturation and contrast. This finish still maintains a certain gloss level, providing a certain pearl effect on its surface. It is a very elegant and stylish solution which also reduces the risk of experiencing strong parasitic reflections on your Fine Print once hanging on your wall, which will typically happen with a pure gloss finish. However, bear in mind that some photographs, where vibrant colour and contrast are particularly important elements, may lose part of their appeal by the use of a semi-matte or matte finish. All our Semi Matte Fine Prints are framed using a Semi-Matte acrylic layer of the highest quality.
